If you think you have all the John Wayne posters you need…think again!.

You’ll need to make a little room for this highly scarce, breath-taking gem of a find!. Spectacular artwork. In addition to the breath-taking super large close-up, are the other two terrific images of the Duke! * See enlargeable image above

Important Added Info: Note that John Wayne had his first chance at stardom in 1930 with “The Big Trail”, and when that was not successful, he spent a few years in minor roles, and then became a major B-western star, and stayed that way until 1939, when he made “Stagecoach” and became a major star. At that point, all of his mid 1930s B-westerns were re-released, and no doubt that adds to the rarity of original movie posters from those movies.. Original first release 1934-35 movie paper of any sort from this movie is incredibly scarce!

Winds of the Wasteland (Republic, 1936). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. Half Sheet (22″ X 28″). Western.

This early oater from 1936 stars John Wayne as one of two rugged westerners with little business experience who buy a stagecoach line to compete with the arrival of the telegraph line.
The Pony Express days are coming to an end, with riders John Blair (John Wayne) and his friend Larry Adams (Lane Chandler), both about 75 pounds too heavy for the original job description, out of a job. They pay Cal Drake (Douglas Cosgrove) of Buchanan City a big price for the Crescent City line and equipment, and arrive there to find it is a ghost mining town and has only two residents: eccentric, self-proclaimed Mayor “Rocky” O’Brien (Lew Kelly) and Dr. William Forsythe (Sam Flint).
Starring John Wayne, Phyllis Cerf, Lew Kelly, Douglas Cosgrove, Lane Chandler, Sam Flint, Bob Kortman, Ed Cassidy, Jon Hall, Merrill McCormick, Christian J. Frank, Jack Rockwell, Arthur Millett, Tracy Layne, and Yakima Canutt. Directed by Mack V. Wright.

Condition: An unrestored half sheet that displays signs of use. May include slight edge and fold wear, light creases, smudges, and may show signs of light toning. Paper tape on the verso. * See enlargeable image above
